WHY CONVERT

Share it anywhere.

JPG is easier to open in older devices, desktop software, submission systems, and sharing channels. AVIF remains a strong choice when efficient web delivery is the priority.

FORMAT NOTE

Know the trade-off.

JPG is a lossy format and cannot retain transparent areas. AVIF can contain alpha, so transparent pixels are merged with your selected background color.

QUALITY HELP

Start at 90.

Quality 80–90 works well for sharing. Use 90–100 when you need more image detail, then compare the output size.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Good to know.

Is this AVIF to JPG converter free?

Yes. You can convert supported static AVIF images without creating an account.

Are my images uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion happens locally in your browser. Your original file remains on your device.

Can I convert multiple AVIF files at once?

Yes. Add a batch and download ready results together. Your device limits are shown in the uploader.

Why does my JPG have a white background?

JPG does not support transparency. Transparent pixels use the background color selected in the converter.

Why can’t I convert an animated AVIF?

JPG is a single-image format. This tool accepts static AVIF files only.

Why did conversion fail?

The file may be invalid, unsupported, over the limit, or unreadable in your current browser. Try a current browser or a different AVIF file.
